Set in your ways or open to new possibilities?
I am open to new possibilities.
About Me:
Moved to Gilbert, AZ in 2006 from NE Kansas. I worked for both the city and county of Atchison, KS for 14 years in public safety. In that time, I gained a lot of knowledge about local politics in a small town. Also had the opportunity to experience politics on a personal level when my husband (who was a police sgt. at the time) ran for Sheriff. Strangely, I have moved to an even more conservative area than where I was before. I am conservative fiscally, believe in same sex unions, I own guns (yes, plural), do not want politicians telling me (or any woman) what I can/cannot do with my body, and I am for diplomacy, not war. Some of my favorite things to do are watch British television and independent films, ride motorcycles, hang out on the Internet, and listen to different kinds of music. I am married, have two teenage stepsons (still in Kansas :-( ), and mama to two rottweilers, and three cats.

John Dvorak's Joke of the Day - From Denmark

I follow John Dvorak (you know, that cranky tech guy) on Twitter. This afternoon he shared this link from his blog: Joke of the day - from Denmark. There you go folks! What the hell are we wasting our time and energy for? ;-P

Lake of Fire - film by Tony Kaye

Lake of Fire is a documentary by Tony Kaye (director of American History X) delving into the topic of abortion in the U.S. The film is a lengthy 152 minutes, but enthralling every second. It gives equal time to both pro-choice and pro-life views, and in my opinion, the best documentary dealing with the subject. For me the film was not meant to be a persuader of choosing a side, but to be informative, by both interviews and visual segments - and the visual portions are worth a thousand wor… Continue

Twitter-licious!

What is Twitter? Microblogging, in a word. 140 characters to answer the question, "What am I doing?" Lots of fun, and you make many connections!
