Could be as long as four weeks - I hope not.
Moving, relocating, means all new connections to Internet, etc.

- Politics is just plain scurrilous to me so I try avoid politics like the plague.
Reading about Murray Rothbard this morning, and noting his connections with others I had "avoided" for so long, like Ayn Rand and the "voice of John Galt" I recently read, I am happy I fell asleep every time I tried to read a "serious" book in high school because it allowed me to be who I am without being "under the influence" of some "great thinker" and while today I am pleased to live in a Blue state, I know that too could change.
Thinking which divides the United States into Blue and Red states has a purpose, and disturbs me nonetheless because it is one more way that Americans have come to see themselves as no longer of "common purpose" but divided against themselves in so many ways I wonder if they can ever recover.
"Liberal vs. Conservative" has dominated conversation and debate to a point where "discourse" became DISRESPECT - a wholly dehumanizing "us against them" mentality which itself shreds the Constitution in my view, regardless what the vandals in the White House do, but more disturbing to me is knowing that so many people, as they argue with each other about which "philosophy" will "save the day" have such very different core understandings of what it means to be "liberal" or "conservative" because both "labels" are understood so differently by so many.
So politics for me has become more like a television "reality" show which is nothing at all like REALITY and somehow, somehow, we have to regain our humanity and relearn how to talk with each other as human beings on specific needs and wants, agree to disagree if we have to as we seek to live in cooperation with each other through the coming world economic crisis.
