Because we are all legends in our own minds

The homeowner, 55, is a church family counselor and bible study teacher. His son, Edgar Rodriguez, claims he was Tasered three times after producing his ID for police. The elder Rodriguez was arrested for public intoxication in his own backyard.

First a house, and now in a back yard. Was there a crime? Was there a reason to detain the mother, was their only crime, not being white?

This video is from Fox 55, broadcast August 1, 2009.

Bunch of drunk adults celebrating a child's baptism. Some of the adults don't understand the language of our land. Between the alcohol impairing their judgment and the lack of communication caused by their not leaning the language it's a wonder we don't hear about more incidents like this.

Have you noticed the trend? When people refuse to comply with the police the police escalate the matter. You don't have to like it, you have seen that you are powerless to change it, deal with it.

BO's proclaiming the Cambridge Police "stupid" in the Gates case emboldened people. Now those same people are going to think they can challenge the police and will get their asses handed to them for the effort. The homeowner above is probably one of those BO disciples.

I'm in the middle on this one. Probably it is "excessive force." But, without more evidence than I saw, I would vote "not guilty" for the police.

Don't get me wrong. Police lie in courtrooms all the time. In fact, that is expected by most courtroom lawyers. Well, except for the prosecutors who need notches in their gunbelts to get raises.

Someone said here that this situation is a "trend." Must be someone who has never been in the grasp of the legal system.

From what I'm seeing from the home video, there was no reason to tase any of the two, whether they were being loud or not. Is a pregnant woman and a 50 year-old man such a threat that they each need to be tased three times in the back?

That's the way I saw it.

Frau Holla, channelling Ann Coulter:>"...don't understand the language of our land..." followed by, "... the lack of communication caused by their not *leaning* the language..."

So....tell me, how does the "master racer", know these people don't speak English? To me, the guy being interviewed spoke better English than the troll.

Grammatical errors aside, has the resident *Nazi spacecadet, said one damn thing that made any sense, or didn't make you cringe?

Yes Fran, (let me add the proviso) IN MY OPINION, you are a Nazi....and proud of it. Fran would be hard pressed to offer any arguments against Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party, and I feel you think we could use a dose of Nazism here too.

Like this pearl, from a different thread:>

"....If a person is earning less than $40,000 a year they are not what I would call successful. There are a lot of reasons for people not being successful and almost every one of those reasons traces straight back to that person and the poor decisions they have made in life. If they are making less than $40,000 per year and have children those children should be taken out of their care an given to a family who can sufficiently provide for them..."

Now.... some of you are very polite to the troll, and I understand that many people look in on this blog, and we don't want to impart any bad impressions for Dani's sake.... but to me, that's Hitler youth speaking... Straight up fascist. "Take the children away from them", and give them "to a family that can sufficiently provide for them"

Picture that for a moment, and keep that in mind when you answer this .......person.

I smell a Nazi...and they smell bad. They stink up the place.

It does seem rather like that, doesn't it? There are just some things (in my humble opinion) that shouldn't be a partisan issue. Abortion shouldn't be an issue because it's a matter of government staying out of personal decisions. Environment shoul…

There is something glaring that the scientists have left out and it annoys the crap out of me that they have, and that is that Co2 is something that is put into the air that never dissipates. It could if it had the time, but that layer of Co2 keeps…

I feel like this climate debate is like the abortion debate. Everyone has their minds made up already and anyone who engages in debate will eventually regress into hatred and insults for the other side. Neat image, though.

Wow. I went to Linda2010.com to see what issues she stood for, expecting to find some kind of an 'Issues' page. No such page exists, but I guess that isn't too big a deal...the election is still a ways away. She does have a blog, though. A blog fil…

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1209/30316.html Linda McMahon is throwing herself into the senatorial ring. Ring, how funny that is because she's the wife of the infamous Vince McMahon. Oh I know it, Minnesota had Jesse "The Governor" Ventura…

It's just sick when a Governor can get attacked for doing the right thing. What else can he do? Pack 4 in a cell?
